Clarity depends on Contrast

In his popular book To Sell is Human author Dan Pink says, clarity depends on contrast. To understand something better, we should compare it.

If you are presenting, use contrast to help your audience understand your concept better. If you happen to be in the audience and seek more clarity, just ask “compared to what?”
